What better way to introduce our new blog than with this gorgeous couple?
Whitney and Jake were so much fun to hang out with! They own a pass to the Cabrillo National Park and bike around that area quite a bit. We met them on a beautiful San Diego day for some shots near the lighthouse and cruising around the flower fields. They may have been a little nervous when we asked them to go hang out on an outcropping cliff, but they took it in stride and did great. As always, the four of us garnered a LOT of attention from the other people who were at the monument. “Who are they?” What magazine is this for?” 🙂
Something that Jake and Whitney decided to do for their engagement session was to bring a few props with them. We always love it when couples put a lot of time into the planning for their shoot! It really gives us something else to play with and create images that tell even more of our couples’ stories! 🙂 Since they enjoy picnicking, Whitney and Jake brought their gear along with a bit of champagne. Also a great way for them to relax during the session! They offered some to us, but we thought it might be better to actually be able to focus our cameras. That will have to wait until after the session. Hee hee!
Time to ride bikes! It was great chasing these two around Liberty Station. Really great light at that time of day and so much greenery! Add in the cool architecture and you have a photographer’s dream!
After a full afternoon of shooting, we like to hang out with our couple. Jake and Whitney worked up an appetite (as did we) so we headed on over to Wine Steals for some GRUBBIN’ pizza and wine. We HIGHLY recommend their Pinot Noir pizza, with proscuitto and fresh arugula. Yummmmm.
Thanks for a great session guys—we had such a fantastic time! We are looking forward to your big day! 🙂
