Our Senior Tails sessions are such a joy!
Our breed of pet lifestyle photography in San Diego is all about capturing a little slice of senior dogs with their humans in their everyday life at their home or favorite park. It is just so rewarding, as we can truly see and feel the connection between them. Chloe is an adorable beagle who is ridiculously well-mannered and sweet…we met up with Chloe and her humans (Ember and Ed) over at Ed’s rad home in Ocean Beach for some fun!
Beagles can be howlers if they are bored (trust me…I grew up with one), but it is pretty clear that Ember and Ed keep Chloe occupied with their love…Chloe was super-happy to just hang out as part of their family while we were there! She was a total natural in front of the camera, and she was content to just hang out and snuggle. <3
She was also very excited to show us her favorite blue sofa!
I know that our dog (Mace Windu) would absolutely have a fit if we tried to snuggle this much with him (we love our stubborn labrachow…he’s just not that in to the cuddles). Chloe, on the other hand, craves never-ending snuggles and hugs from her momma!
Chloe’s favorite trick is to roll over, but I think she had a little stage fright in front of the camaras, so she just stopped right in the middle. Hee hee!
“If I just go halfway, do I still get a treat?”
A little bit into our session together, Chloe’s other favorite humans, Jenn and Troy, came by to hang out. Chloe LOVES Troy. She is totally staring at him from the couch with those big brown puppy eyes. 🙂
And those ridiculously cute and soft fluffy ears!
Dog butt. Because… dog butt. 😉
Chloe isn’t just a pretty face, she is also an accomplished Sous Chef. That’s actually her nickname around the house!
Ed was chucking food from the island into the pot on the stove (he actually had pretty good aim with Chloe’s favorite—orange bell peppers!), and Chloe was patiently sitting there, waiting for food to fall. But she was never really in the way, or begging constantly…just…waiting. 🙂
After slaving away in the kitchen, both Ed and Chloe found some time to chill on the couch and get their snuggle on. 🙂
Seriously one of the sweetest senior dogs EVER.
“Oh yeah. That’s the spot riiiiight there.”
Chloe, Ember, and Ed…you guys are pretty great! Betsy and I had a blast playing with you guys (and Jenn + Troy as well)! Chloe really is awesome. I still can’t believe how well-mannered she is! Thank you for allowing us into your home and capturing these moments for you to cherish. 🙂
To Chloe’s friends and family, if you pre-register in her gallery guestbook, you’ll be notified as soon as the images are released in a 3–4 weeks (you will need to receive the password from her in order to view the images, though, since this is a private gallery).
