“Awwwwww Sheeeeebeeeee!”

That’s the phrase uttered the most in the Brooks household down in South Park. You may remember Mary and Chris’ gorgeous Little Italy wedding, as well as their hip/cool/fun Engagement Session in East Village (bowling and cruising Coronado). These guys are two of our favorite people on the planet! Mary surprised Chris last week with a fun Family Session for the two of them with their 14-year-old German Short-haired Pointer, Sheba. Just in time for their 1st anniversary!! Happy anniversary, you guys!

Chris has a very special bond with Sheba, whom he has raised since she was a lil’ puppy. And when Mary came into Chris’ life, they hit it off instantly. 🙂 I can’t even begin to tell you how much it warms my heart to see the special bond that exists only between a dog and their human(s)! Betsy and I share that bond with our buddy Mace as well, and to watch (and photograph) said connection is so meaningful to us!

D’Awwwwwww! Sheba has a tendency to make you feel all weak in the knees with a single look. And who can resist those floppy ‘lil ears?!

Sheba and her humans LOVE to hang out in their cute South Park back yard under the arbor.

So much love!

Sheba is usually pretty chill, but every once in awhile, she can get riled up enough to horse around like a puppy! One of her favorite things—dancing with Dad.

I love this look!

So many smooches!

I absolutely ADORE this shot that Betsy grabbed. 🙂

Sheba likes to chase Chris down the sidewalk next to their house! But she’s also pretty good about telling him when she’s done and ready to go back home…

“Hello. My name is Sheba and I guard this house. Actually, this whole corner is miiiiiiiiine. Where’s my biscuit?”

Happy family 🙂

*sniff* *sniff* *sniff*

“What’s that you smellin’ Sheebee?”

One other thing that Sheba digs is listening to his papa play guitar in their living room. Sheba will lie down next to Chris as he plays, and looks up at him from time to time with a face that says: “I love you so very much.” :’-)

It’s pretty awesome that Chris is playing some Judas Priest here… apparently, that’s what his girls like to hear!

After a few hours of modeling, Sheba decided that it was time for dinner. But wait…this is no ordinary dinner!

Dog butt. Teehee!

Once the kiddo was pooped out and ready for bed, it was time for a little more time with Mary and Chris. Had to definitely play around with their fun lights in the backyard!

And how cute is their place? All decked out for the holidays. Yay!

Sheba, thank you so much for letting us into your home again, and for being such a gooooood girrrrrl for us! You did a great job doing what you do best: act like a sweet loving companion to Chris and Mary. You are the best! Also, Macers says “Hi!” 🙂

To Mary, Chris and Sheba’s friends and family: sign in to their Pictage Wedding Event Page… you will be notified as soon as the rest of the individual images go live in a few weeks, and you will receive a gift certificate toward your first print purchase!
