jen + sandy’s destination beach elopement | coronado dunes, san diego

It all started in a bar 23 years ago when these two found each, had a beer together, and danced the night away. I like a story that starts out that way! It was a joy to see Jen and Sandy legally married after all these years at their destination beach elopement with Ceremonies by Bethel on the sands of Coronado island! There have been SO many amazing blooms this year and there were still a few of them holding out along the dunes, so we definitely had to capture a little of that superbloom flavor! And can you believe the San Diego sunshine we had for the afternoon?! It was 80-something degrees that day out at the beach and all the locals were out. Just another April in town 🙂 beautiful sunshine lights up this lgbt couple at their san diego destination beach elopementThese two have ear to ear smiles just being around each other. It’s clear the joy, love, and togetherness they share! same sex couple snuggles and laughs together in the cat tails on the beach at Coronado island in San Diegobeautiful sunshine lights up this lgbt couple at their san diego destination beach elopementLots of good snuggles. Always a good thing! close up of couplebride whispers in bridecouple laughs together at their san diego destination beach elopementAnd giggles. Giggles always win! Two women kiss on Coronado beach during their destination elopement wedding Time to take a little walk down to the beach. Coronado arguably has one of the best beaches in San Diego. It’s always so clean and has such a unique view!two women holds hands and walk into sunset at their coronado destination beach elopementJen and Sandy split their time between Arizona and Coronado. Definitely a big benefit of having their own successful business!
They chose this particular area of Coronado to tie the knot so that they could look out towards the Point Loma peninsula as they exchanged vows. They have fond memories of first finding their way in San Diego and spending lots of time with friends who lived in Point Loma. Perfect spot to bring it all together!two women holds hands and walk into sunset at their coronado destination beach elopementtwo women holds hands near heart in sand at their coronado destination beach elopementNothing like having your toes in the sand while your love holds your hand <3lgbt couple walk along the waterfront at their san diego destination elopement on the beach Oh, this delicious golden hour light!!! lgbt couple walk along the waterfront at their san diego destination elopement on the beach Time to get these two officially MARRIED!!! Ceremonies by Bethel got things started, sharing each of their insights on their relationship and history. It’s always fun to hear the different perspectives and sometimes an ‘alternate idea’ of how things went down! 😉 lgbt couple gets married by ceremonies by bethel on the hotel del dunes at their destination beach elopement in coronado The hand-fasting is one of my favorite traditions with each ribbon representing different aspects of their relationship, then brought all together in the end in tying the knot.
