We are so proud to now post the continuation of Desiree and Tyler’s gorgeous wedding at L’Auberge Del Mar! There were just so many details and moments that blew us away, we couldn’t possible contain them within one single post. Enjoy! 🙂
Desiree’s gown was so elegant, yet understated. She looked absolutely stunning as she walked down the aisle with her Amy Kuschel gown from Bliss Bride. It matched perfectly with her Valentino heels!
Love the combination of rustic twine and sparkly goodness on Desiree’s bouquet!
A special family heirloom presented to Des right before she was heading out to see Tyler on the wedding day…
All of Des and Ty’s florals were provided by the incredibly talented Tam with Isari Flower Studio. She really does have an eye for color balance, texture and flair!
A lovely spot overlooking the Pacific at L’Auberge Del Mar, accented by those huge cheerful urns of mums!!
LOVED these singular buds floating in glass orbs. As the light came through from the west, they lit up so nicely! Anyone who has been to our house knows how obsessed we are with the minimalist orbs!
Desiree and Tyler’s wedding was primarily designed and coordinated by Krissie Simek with L’Auberge Del Mar, but Desiree was excited to add her own talents to her details. Des created all of the paper products that were found at their wedding: little kleenex sleeves, a collection of “advice cards” for guests to leave their wisdom, the little signs on the paper straws, the menus and placecards (all the guests were having fun with the little arrows!)… all of these came together so nicely with the overall design and color scheme!
Nothing rings truer to our hearts than the beauty of food that is presented well. All of the appies (as well as the plated dinners) looked spectacular! Of course, L’Auberge does an excellent job with beautiful and delicious culinary creations, and we knew this would be an important part of the big day since Des is a personal chef. And yes, that IS in fact Pork Belly on the right. Yuuuuuummmmm…
Honestly… could you ask for a more beautiful setup for a nice dinner with all the most important people in your life? The long King’s Tables were a perfect choice for this intimate affair with friends and family. 🙂
Everything was so cheerful and elegant, yet still super playful.
We loved how the centerpieces ran all the way down the table, rather than just placed at the center of a round table. The decorations were eclectic with lots of variety and texture, without being contrived. They really nailed it!
The ceremony and dinner were not the only events that had a high attention to detail! Check out the cool custom gobo that Kris Valentien (Positive Energy Productions) projected onto the cascading waterfall fountain!
Kris was also responsible for this ethereal, beachy-blue lightscape in the reception hall. He really created an awesome look that I can only describe as “Beach-Meets-Cool-Lounge”. Perfect way for the guests to be greeted to the party portion of the festivities!
Enter the Candy Bar!
With the help of Desiree’s step-mom, who gathered all of the tags, vessels, candy, and other accoutrements, Krissie put all of this together into a sweets bar for all to enjoy!
And last, but certainly not least, a gorgeous dessert table with a variety of pretty pretty cakes by Michele Coulon Dessertier.
