ma’ayan + chris’ wedding | manchester grand hyatt, downtown san diego

We’ve been looking forward to Ma’ayan and Chris’ beautiful day for quite some time now. Our friends Meaghan coordinating, Dawn setting up the beautiful flowers, Joe on cinematic detail… all taking place at the Manchester Grand Hyatt! Mix in the fact that Chris and Ma’ayan are two incredibly sweet people, and you have a dream come true!

Ever since our first meeting (and, of course during their Mission Hills Engagement Session), we knew that Chris and Ma’ayan were a true “La Vida Couple”!

Everyone in the two getting-ready-rooms were super-stoked for these two to tie the knot! This day was all about celebrating their love from the very beginning.

I really need to know how to tie a legit bow tie. There were a few delays, but we had one gentleman in the room who knew what he was doing, so he helped everyone look sharp!

Yes, sweetie. Those shoes *are* a little bit too big. They look great on you, though!:)

Ma’ayan’s eyes are blue. Like, RIDICULOUSLY blue. Just gorgeous.

Time for First Look! We went across the street to a little slice of quiet in the middle of a bustling Downtown San Diego. Yep, you see how excited these two are to get MARRIED?!

WORK. IT.:)

These two just looked amazing!

*nuzzle nuzzle nuzzle* Awwwww!

Did I already mention Ma’ayan’s eyes? Yeah. You could swim in them.:)
PS: that is NOT photoshopped!

Strollin’ down the lobby area of the Manchester in our wedding gear… yeah, no big deal.:)

Great group of people here… helpful and so fun lovin’!

Love these little in-between-moments during the bridal party portraits…

Just as the sun was beginning to set, so began the Havdalah ceremony, celebrating the end of Shabbat. The wine was passed, the spices were smelled, and the candle was lit. We had never actually witnessed a Havdalah before, and it was really meaningful!

Of course, right after the Havdalah, was the signing of the Ketubah, followed by the Bedeken ceremony, which was held privately (just us, the parents, and Ma’ayan and Chris). This was also fun to see, as Chris was to lift up Ma’ayan’s veil just to be absolutely sure that she was, in fact, the one he was to marry on that day. SPOILER ALERT: It actually was Ma’ayan.;)

So on to the grand entrance down the aisle, anxiously awaiting meeting Chris under the Chuppah. And yes, Ma’ayan rocked her way down the aisle to “Be My Baby”—so fun!

I know we have mentioned how great Rabbi Ian is, but I’ll say it again. His delivery is impeccable, his demeanor is very personable, and he also has a terrific British accent. Trifecta!

Rabbi Ian brings such great humor to the Jewish Ceremony!

Sure, there were moments of laughter, but there was also a lot of heartfelt emotion. There was a traditional Jewish song played which had been performed by Ma’ayan’s grandfather. Not a dry eye in the house!

Mazel Tov!!!

And now… TO CELEBRATE!!

While the Hora didn’t go full-circle around the dance floor, the guests were VERY excited to raise Chris and Ma’ayan up on their chairs. The look of terror on Chris’ face is simply priceless… Sorry, Chris, we had to share that one just so you never forget that feeling of knowing that your life is in your buddies’ hands at that exact moment;)

You GO girl.:)

Good FORM!!
