Hey y’all!
We are honored to introduce one of our newest La Vida Couples Ma’ayan and Chris, a gorgeous couple in love from Austin, Texas! We were introduced to these two lovebirds by our good friend Meaghan with Weddings Made Splendid, and it’s been a great relationship ever since!
They are so supportive and respectful of each other… they are truly an inspiration! For their engagement session, we wanted to bring a little bit of their lives in Austin back here to San Diego.
We started off the day with a few fun shots at one of our favorite wine bars in Hillcrest, Jake’s on 6th. This place rocks because of the good wines, great staff, and cozy atmosphere. Justin was so helpful to us as we cruised around the bar. Thanks man!![]()
One of their first dates together was at a wine bar and they share a love for great wine and great food… yep, just our kind of peeps!!
While they have never been wine-tasting at a vineyard before (don’t worry, we’re fixing that for them soon!), they do indeed love to frequent a quiet wine bar and enjoy each other’s company for awhile. Both Ma’ayan and Chris were a little nervous at first, but they opened up VERY quickly and reverted to their normal everyday interactions with each other.
Ma’ayan’s eyes are quite hypnotic. Gorgeous!
By the way, one of Chris’ biceps is about as big as my whole body.![]()
Spontaneous dancing in the wine racks is highly encouraged.
Some walking around shots.
They were so easy to photograph… we just gave them a few simple things to keep in mind and they did the rest!
One thing that we learned from Ma’ayan and Chris’ La Vida Couples Questionnaire is that they for some reason have a huge affinity for walking bridges. First kiss, first time they truly recognized their love… the list goes on and on. So of COURSE we had to find an awesome bridge for them!
Side note… how cute are those boots?![]()
Ma’ayan loves snuggling up to her man. What a great couple! Seriously, we were smiling ear to ear the whole time.
Ma’ayan and Chris also love picnics. They once had a picnic on a bridge in Austin, and while that would have been cute to set up on this bridge, it was pretty wobbly and we didn’t want their wine to fall down and go boom. So instead, we asked a nice neighbor with a cute front lawn if we could set up camp there. All went well until the sprinklers came on!![]()
Loving, caring, and PLAYFUL. These are the things that a long marriage needs! Oops, sorry, honey—did I *accidentally* get frosting on your nose?
Love these!! Ma’ayan and Chris are so comfortable and secure around each other that they can just *be*. And they make it look so easy!
Ma’ayan and Chris, you guys are an amazing couple. Truly! We love how much you are so into each other. We also love your mutual respect for one another and it warms our hearts that you chose us to be your wedding photographers! Thank you for such a lovely day, and for taking us out to dinner at Parkhouse as well! Such a treat!! We are proud to be your visual storytellers, and we can’t wait until the next time we get to hang out with you. Wiens Family Cellars in Temecula perhaps?![]()
