Ahhhh… love.![]()
Joan and Norm’s big day finally came in the form of GORGEOUS sunshine, two families coming together and a whole lotta love at The Thursday Club in Point Loma. We’ve been suffering through some mediocre weather over the past few weeks, but on their most special day, Joan and Norm got the best that San Diego has to offer!
Ever since their engagement session back in December, Betsy and I have been thinking about how similar we are with Joan and Norm… dog owners, lovers of life… we even got married at the same location (even with the same caterers!)
This first set of images document Joan and Norm’s First Look—a special time carved out in the day just for the happy couple. We LOOOOOVE First Looks!![]()
How gorgeous is Joan? Answer… “very”.![]()
The happy couple enjoyed their First Look out on the front patio of the Thursday Club under the big ol’ Spanish arches. What a lovely moment!
Pure joy and elation!!
There were actually TWO First Looks on Joan and Norm’s big day. Of course the bride and groom had their alone time, but the second one was pretty special too.
We had been in contact with Joan’s father Glenn throughout their engagement period, and we truly enjoy how much he adores his little girl. Photography has always been a passion for Glenn, and we were happy to not only offer great imagery to our Joan, but also to her sweet father. He was the epitome of the proud Dad. Love it.
Awwwwww!
On to the ceremony! The Thursday Club is so great because of it’s natural beauty out on the back patio. It’s a great place to host family and friends on the biggest day of a new couple’s lives!
(Did I mention that we were also married there? I’m pretty sure I did…we fell in love with the Thursday Club when we found it and I’m sure our couple’s feel the same way!)
The way that Joan and Norm look at each other always melts our hearts. To the core…
Married!!!
Reception time! Joan and Norm had a great first dance in the beautiful ballroom of the Thursday Club.
What started as a nice slow dance turned into a choreographed version of Napolean Dynamite’s big dance! H-I-Larious!
A special moment between Joan’s Mom and her ‘second Mom’ as she calls her. Weddings are such an amazing event that brings everyone together.
The dance floor was packed all night, which we love.![]()
Fun citrus-toned details brought together by Joan and the super fun and talented Courtney of After the Engagement!
Um, yes, Joan’s shoes DID coordinate with her bouquet! So springy and fresh.
Again, don’t you just love how these two look at each other? That’s Norm slipping Joan his special little wink of the eye![]()
Stogies, baby… STOGIES!!
Joan found lots of fun goodies from Etsy for their wedding. This cake topper is adorable!!
