Jennifer and Serge are two lovely engineers who love indie movies, hiking, scrabble, wine, Mad Men, and most of all—each other. We love how supportive they are of the other and how much better is life when you have your rock by your side, right?
Betsy and I met up with Jen and Serge over at UCSD, their alma mater (ours too!) for a few quick shots before we took a hike through Torrey Pines State Reserve. Gotta love the light streaming through all those beautiful eucalyptus trees!
Serge and Jennifer are so madly in love…we truly enjoyed watching them hold each other close, nuzzle a bit, and just “let go”.![]()
Serge and his family are from Camaroon, so he has this GREAT accent! And, even better, he has one of those really hearty laughs that just makes you smile, ya know?![]()
Jen and Serge took us out to a fave trail of theirs up in the Torrey Pines Reserve. Thankfully, they were cool with driving up the windy road, rather than hiking uphill with all of our gear (whew!).
You know, it’s funny. Betsy and I have lived in San Diego for a VERY long time, and neither of us had actually walked this trail. So pretty! One cool spot is the “Lion’s Paw” (below). It’s a super-bizarre sandstone formation that no one is allowed to touch (and for good reason…it looks so fragile!).
Out on the bluff at the end of the trail is a stunning panoramic view of the ocean. Jen and Serge were so lost in the moment of seeing this beautiful skyscape, that I think they forgot we were there for a bit! We love it when that happens!
Thanks so much for spending some time with us! You both did an amazing job as “models”, and we look forward to seeing you at Estancia!![]()
