BACK TO SCHOOL!
Sarah and Matt met back at UCSD (our alma mater as well!), and strengthened their relationship while they both worked at the UCSD Med Center. So after spending so much of their lives together in La Jolla, we thought it made perfect sense to shoot their engagement session back at school!
Starting with the Geisel Library, we made our way from North to South across campus, chatting about “the good ‘ol days”, and the various changes to our campus over the years.
The Geisel Library (along with many other awesomely cool structures on campus) has some pretty interesting architecture to play with!
These two love to giggle. Not just laugh…but giggle.
It was pretty easy to coax out their true smiles and laughter during the session…we love that!![]()
One spot that Sarah and Matt definitely wanted to hit along our trek was this set of concrete “spheres” along the Geisel Walkway. A landmark meeting spot they utilized a lot in the early days.
Um, doesn’t this just make you love them a little bit more? Too cute!
The bridge between York Hall and Bonner Hall is shaped like a double-helical DNA strand—just brilliant! Always been a favorite architectural highlight of ours and made perfect sense for our scientifically-gifted La Vida couple!
And, of course, we had to make our way over to Stonehenge, on Revelle Campus at UCSD. Sarah and Matt shared some nice cuddle time as the sun started to soften and fade to the west.
After our nice hike across campus, the four of us met up down at La Jolla Shores for a little beach time. These two love to hang out and people watch together just about anywhere (one of our favorite activities too!), so we got in a little dose for them along Shores. You gotta love the fact that in late September in San Diego the beach is STILL packed with people.![]()
Sarah and Matt, you kept us laughing and smiling along with you the entire time during our shoot, and we can’t wait until your wedding!
