Yup. More of the puppies!![]()
As most of you know from our previous post, we had the unique opportunity to photograph eight rambunctious lab puppies out in the mountains near San Diego for a previous (awesome) client of ours the other day. Part of the session was for the pups, but we were also there for a quickie senior session with Denise’s beautiful daughter Christine. We started with her favorite pooch Winnie in front of the gate that led up to their property.
“Hey, that’s a cool bike! Love the basket… let’s put a puppy in it!”
Betsy and I really just want to adopt one of these little pups and randomly place her in every shoot that we do from now on:
“Hey, that’s a beautiful wedding cake! Let’s put a puppy next to it.”
“Hey, what a cute couple! Let’s put a puppy near them!”
“Oooh! What a pretty altar! Needs more puppy.”

I mean, really…
Denise and her family have access to this beautiful private park, complete with a lake. We had a lot of fun joking around with Christine. She kept cracking us up with her patent-pending phrase: “Oh, if I had a daughter as cute as me, I’d totally set up photo sessions for her too!” She was totally kidding around, of course, but she is ABSOLUTELY. CORRECT.
Christine has a really great personality, and it was a pleasure shooting with her.
Beautiful hair. And those piercing eyes!
What’s up, supermodel?
We keep telling ourselves that Christine is out there by herself on the little outcropping thinking about how awesome this session is (and how cool we are), but she’s probably actually thinking about how she can’t wait to hang out with her friends once the session ends. It was Spring Break afterall!
She was a total trooper!
After all the puppy-playing and senior-sessioning (yes, that is now a word), we headed on back to their house for a few final glamour shots out in their backyard. I LOVE the infinity pool that they have… and what a gorgeous view of the valley! Betsy and I would totally sit out there every night enjoying the sunset.![]()
Christine, you did a marvelous job! We know that you were just joking around about the “I’m so cute” bit, but you really are. Rock it, girl!
Thanks so much for being a wonderfully patient and willing subject! Can’t wait to see Pooh as she grows into those cute big paws.
To Christine’s friends and family: sign in to her Pictage Event Page⦠you will be notified as soon as the rest of the individual images go live in a few weeks, and you will receive a gift certificate toward your first print purchase! (this is a password-protected gallery, so if you know the family, you will need to get the event key directly from them)
AND, to all the DOG-LOVERS out there… 2 of these little darlings are still available for adoption. Drop us an email if you’re interested, and we’ll pass your info on!!
