Bonjour!
Tania and Etienne joined us the other day for a fun engagement session in downtown La Jolla and Crystal Pier. These two are SO in love, and we think they are just so very sweet with one another! They both live in Paris, France, and are getting married at a private home in La Jolla next week. We were so happy that Tania and Etienne were able to come back to the States for a quick session before their big day!
Here are some highlights from our time together. Don’t forget to check out the slideshow at the end of the post for even more from this shoot!
We started off at the always-gorgeous La Valencia Hotel in downtown La Jolla. Great hotel and a favorite place of theirs to get cocktails with a view in town.
Off to the “wandering around” portion of our shoot together…We all had some fun in front of the La Jolla Post Office, a few coffee shops and a random alley. Alleys are fun because we can be alone (for the most part) and there is always an abundance of light bouncing around between the buildings. Especially helpful when Southern Cali is dishing out a summer with lots of overcast days. See, there is a method to our madness!
It is nearly impossible to keep these two apart! Etienne and Tania are always hugging it up and smooching whenever they can. We were joking around with them about it, and Etienne said quite confidently in a heavy accent: “But Ah em French… I cannot help eet!”. So awesome! Own it!!!Etienne helped me to learn how to count to ten in French… check it out: “un, deux, trois, quatre, cinq, six, sept, huit, neuf, dix”. Kudos me! And I totally didn’t have to look up the spellings of these numbers online. Nope. Didn’t look them up at all.
After our stroll in La Jolla, we jumped on down to Crystal Pier for some quick twilight shots on the beach and around a lifeguard tower!
Tania and Etienne, thank you SO much for being you! Your love for each other is truly an inspiration. It made our day!! We are looking forward to shooting your beautiful wedding, and we can’t wait to see you in Paris this fall for your Rock the Dress session!
