Happy New Year!![]()
We are so pumped up and ready for 2010. We have many fantastic opportunities for our studio this year, and we look forward to spending time with all of our new clients! We are also very fortunate to be involved with a wonderful association of photographers that meet once per month called the Pictage Users Group of San Diego. Our group recently joined forces with the San Diego community of Fast Track Photographers, started by the wonderful Dane Sanders, to create even bigger group. Exciting!
Betsy and I have been named as the replacement leaders for the next few months as our great friends Jeff and Erin Youngren will be traveling all over the world for awhile. We obliged, and for our first meeting we were fortunate to play host to Mike Larson, a highly-respected and talented photographer from the central coast. We’ve seen Mike speak before, so we already knew that he was going to deliver a great presentation to our friends at PUG. I’ll admit that we were a little bit nervous introducing Mike as it was our first time for this group, but Jeff and Erin gave us a very heartfelt intro, so we felt a LOT more at ease.![]()

Mike was awesome.
He gave all of us a lot of inspiration, as well as some excellent business advice. His “20 Things you MUST do” created a sudden eruption of note-taking on pads of paper and iPhones. We really enjoyed listening to Mike… he is so laid-back and relaxed in his presentation style. So cool and so knowledgeable. Our PUG group was very fortunate!![]()
“WHO WANTS TO BE SUCCESSFUL?”

“WE DOOOOO!”![]()

The image below is of our new intern D’Vaughn furiously scribbling notes from Mike, and on the right is Nick… getting ready to enjoy his tiramisu from Extraordinary Desserts. We had a blast over there with Mike, his sweet wife Rachel, the Youngrens, Reuben, Bryan and Jackie after the PUG meeting. We love our photography community of friends!

Thank you Mike for giving us such an informative talk! We all really enjoyed it, and look forward to having you over again sometime in the future.![]()
